Hiking the Franconia Ridge

44°09′39″N 71°38′40″W One of the most rigorous, yet beautiful, hikes in the Northeast, and absolutely worth it for the views. Located in the beautiful town of Franconia, NH, Mount Lafayette was easily accessible from Route 93 which runs through the Franconia notch between Franconia Ridge and Cannon Mountain. After a late start to the morning, we finally made it to the parking lot around 11:30AM. We knew that this was going to take 6-7 hours, which meant daylight was going to be scarce by the time we reached the bottom. Our plan was to knock off Lafayette, Lincoln, and Little Haystack …

Exhausting Weekend in Acadia & Bar Harbor, Maine

The part of Maine on everyone’s Bucket List, Bar Harbor & Acadia National Park. A place famous for fresh lobster rolls caught locally and a beautiful landscape that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean. Only a seven hour drive and 1 quick stop for dinner, at Liquid Riot Bottle Co in Portland, we finally arrived at our KOA campground around midnight. This would normally not be an issue, but when you planned to do everything that this island had to offered in one weekend, it was going to be a rough one. 3 hours later we were awake, headlamps on, dressed, and …

How to: Running of the Bulls

ATTENTION: Taking part in the running of the bulls is an extremely dangerous event and all of you that intend to participate must understand all the risks and consequences. With that being said, it was probably the greatest experience of my life. Being chased through the narrow cobblestone streets of Pamplona while 12, half-ton beasts with razor sharp horns sprint behind you, produces an adrenaline rush that is second to none. I will break down everything you need to know to participate in the main event of the San Fermin Festival in Pamplona and include some personal advice from my …

Guide to Skiing Vermont

Skiing in the Northeast is known for icy slopes, overcrowded resorts, and bitter cold winter months, but we have to make do with what mother nature gives us. Last season I skied at Mount Snow, Stratton Mountain, and Okemo Mountain. All three are massive resorts that all have something special to offer. Snow, has an incredible terrain park and glade skiing. Stratton, divided the mountain in half which allows you to hit runs over and over again without having to end up all the way at the bottom. Okemo, has a massive footprint which allows for the dispersion of crowds. …

Outdoor Climbing: Ragged Mountain

The perfect mixture of scared and stoked, is the best way for me to describe my first outdoor rock climbing experience. I am a very bad example when doing something for the first time. I usually just google the activity that I want to do, watch a few YouTube videos, and then go out and do it. That usually works well for something like basketball or knitting, not so much outdoor rock climbing. Granted, I had been climbing indoors for quite a while now, so it wasn’t my climbing skills that I was concerned with. I found a mountain, Ragged …

Clubbing & Cliff Jumping in Ibiza, Spain

The party capital of the world, IBIZA. Home of beautiful beaches, gorgeous women, and, of course, the best clubbing. While my friends and I were traveling through Spain during our trip to Run with the bulls, we had to make a stop on the exotic island to knock it off the bucket list. We flew in from Barcelona and arrived around 10PM. After a few inaudible, phone calls, we finally met up with the guy we booked our AirBnB through, and it couldn’t have worked out any better. We got hooked up with a 3 bedroom flat that overlooked the …

Cat’s Hostel in Madrid, Spain for Backpackers

Cat’s Hostel Madrid was my first and favorite hostel I’ve been to. From the moment I walked in, until the moment I walked out it was an incredible experience. We made our way out of the Anton Martin metro stop and a block away on a side street was a little sign that just said Cat’s. We were immediately greeted by a drunken Aussie who asked us if we wanted to grab a drink with him… It was 11am. After filling out all the paperwork, in the bar, that’s attached to the hostel love, while sitting on fresh kegs, we …

TomorrowWorld Music Festival

Tomorrowworld, rated as one of the biggest and best EDM music festivals in the world, and it lived up to the hype. A trip that was planned by my friend Nick and I in less than 1 hour, back in March, after a failed attempt to go to Ultra on a one week notice. I’ve been dying to go to Tomorrowland/Tomorrowworld since 2013 and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve seen the aftermovies. This left me with 7 months of anticipation of going to a place outside of Atlanta, Georgia for 3 days that was going to host …

Cliff Jumping Enders Falls | CT |

Looking for adventure close to home? Then look no further than Enders Falls in Granby, CT. After a few minutes googling where the nearest cliff jumping would be, I stumbled upon this location and an accompanying video. From that moment, I was hooked. I immediately sent out the message asking all my friends who would want to go jump off a +25ft cliff into water… and it wasn’t long before we were all piling into cars on that summer Saturday morning. We finally make it to the empty parking lot at the East Granby State Forest and headed into the …
